When my client's first approached me, they asked, "can you get crazy?" I stated, "why yes I can get crazy, just depending how crazy you'd like to get..." Our next step, was to transform an unfinished ordinary formal living room space into an eclectic, colorful and extraordinary Music Room!

The Client

This Colorado Springs - based couple compliment each other by their giving and compassionate personalities. Since they both live hectic lives by day; Pam taking care of their 4 beautiful children and Jim a Neo-Natal surgeon they rely on their evenings together to enjoy fine dining, the arts, music and entertaining good friends!

Project Inspiration

Colorful and Eclectic - the concept here was creating a colorful and eclectic Music Room! This space serves as a unique multi-purpose music room for them to enjoy practicing various instruments or to entertain in. The BIG inspiration for this room was taken from a purple leather swatch in which we custom built a modern eclectic wing back chair for Pam that she couldn't live without.

What We Did

By working with the architecture of the space we gained symmetry and balance by adding the 2 tall floor lamps to balance the windows. Grounded the conversational custom upholstered seating arrangement with a beautifully and custom designed reclaimed cow hair on hide area rug. Layered multiple textures to capture the eclectic feel and by adding depth and color to the space. Worked with clients on the details of the custom painting finishes on the walls.
